“Richard Ballo provides a long-needed and powerfully therapeutic tool created not only to ease one’s grief, but in addition, to allow the reader to actively participate in the process of re-contextualizing his or her loss. The Heart of Grief Relief Journal provides the difficult answers to the questions that exist at the very core of the human experience.”

— David Perlmutter, MD, FACNAuthor, Power up Your Brain – The Neuroscience of Enlightenment

“Richard Ballo’s Heart of Grief Relief Journal is a book for real life. A life full of loves and full of losses, that sometimes cause us profound grief. Many years ago I lost a love and found that I was talking constantly when I was alone – to myself, to my dog, to my love who was not there – to somehow try to talk my way through my grief. I guess I thought if I could keep talking through it, I would somehow get through it. I am a word person by nature – so forming thoughts and feelings into reading, writing and conversing mean more to me than pictures or numbers. When I open this journal, the words of those who know my grief, like Rich Ballo, speak to me. Let them speak to you. From their words…form your words… speak your grief, your memories, your despair and your love. And most hopefully, this journal will help you, speak your peace.”

— Karen Rollins, President & CEO, Avow Hospice, Naples, Florida

“Having many years of funeral service as a funeral director and owner, I can directly comprehend the need and value of a grieving person to journal their thoughts and feelings. This expression can facilitate the grieving process where one can begin to believe in their new journey.”

— Juliana Berring Fuller, former owner and funeral director, Fuller Funeral Homes

Richard Ballo is an author and national speaker on grief and healing. He brings this journal and healing resource to you because he found writing was a valuable tool for himself. After his experience through grief and what worked for him, he designed this journal as a way to give others a way to express their grief.
